English Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: An embroidered device consisting of a blue oval enclosed in a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) white edge displaying the head of a bald eagle. Enclosing that, a green oval designation band inscribed “COLONIAL FORGE” above and “HIGH SCHOOL” below in white block letters. The entire device is edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 1/16 inches (7.78 cm) in width.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Vert, on a shield Azure in chief a bend Argent with a torch flamant throughout between a lyre and winged foot of the last (Silver). Attached above the shield the head of a bald eagle Argent. Attached below the shield, a Green scroll inscribed “DARE TO SOAR” in base metal letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Green, blue and silver are the school’s colors. The eagle is the school’s mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Green, navy blue and silver are the school’s colors. The eagle is the school’s mascot. The lamp represents achievement and knowledge. The winged shoe pertains to athletics and sportsmanship. The lyre is symbolic of music, drama and art.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved 1 June 2006.
