Lithuanian | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 8, 1994.
The green colour symbolizes both hope and beauty of local woods. The cuckoo is canting: "cuckoo" is "gege" in Lithuanian (this form of word is archaic but still used in some dialects). The key symbolizes a border town.
