The arms show a hunter named Dębomir. The figure indicates hunting, the traditional occupation of the people in the area. The green branch of the oak, referring to the sacred oaks revered by the tribes of Prussians who lived there for centuries, is a symbol of the vast forest areas growing in the municipality.
