Ermine a saltire Azure surmounted of an eagle displayed Sable charged on each wing with four acorns slipped in cross Or, overall on a fess Or a mitre Azure between two salmon naiant Gules, all within a bordure Azure.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1991.

Bishop Rafferty's arms were a differenced version of the O'Rafferty arms as given in McLysaght (1972): Ermine an eagle displayed Sable, overall a fess Or charged with two salmon naiant Gules.
