Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 24, 1950.
The falcon in the right half of the arms is derived from the (canting) arms of the Counts of Falkenberg. The family owns the castle Waldenfels in the municipality since 1636. The left half shows the pales derived from the arms of Oberösterreich (Upper Austria), the state in which the municipality is situated.
