The Sword indicates parentage of the Strike Command. The Prince of Wales's Badge signifies that He was Honorary Commodore of the Station. The Badge was granted in december 1984.

RAF STATION BRAWDY, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Control of the Station passed from the Royal Navy to the Royal Air Force in 1971. The Station was closed in September 1995.
