97TH CIVIL ENGINEER SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE
History: Designated as Squadron C, 97 Airdrome Group on 11 September 1947. Organized on 1 December 1947. Discontinued on 12 July 1948. Consolidated (3 October 1984) with the 97 Installations Squadron, Bombardment, Medium, which was constituted on 28 May 1948. Activated on 12 July 1948. Redesignated as 97 Installations Squadron on 16 March 1950. Inactivated on 16 June 1952. Activated on 1 July 1959. Redesignated as 97 Civil Engineering Squadron on 1 July 1960. Inactivated on 1 August 1992. Activated on 1 October 1992. Redesignated as 97 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 March 1994.
