Origin/meaningThe arms were designed by the Marquis Gian Ludovico Pallavicino during the fifteenth century, with the laurel tree that gave the name of Castrum Laurum, designed by the Marquis (to replace the one ancient of Curtis Major de Olcia), on which there is a child, symbol of the new community illuminated by the shining sun, with a ribbon fluttering on the trunk with the motto "Nihil sanctius quam recta fides [cum sororibus]" (Nothing is holier than a right faith united with other virtues).
