Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a yellow shield shape 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width, edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) black border and a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white outer border, a Sentinel, white with black details standing in front of a black silhouette of a cannon. The inscription above the Sentinel’s head is “MAGNOLIA” in black letters.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Or, a silhouette of a Sentinel (Minuteman), Sable. Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed “SENTINELS” in Silver letters.
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Institute: Gold and black are the school colors. The Sentinel with the cannon is the school mascot.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Gold and black are the school colors. The Sentinel represents wisdom, strength and protection.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Information was approved 10 May 2002.
