The Cross of St. Andrew on a white field, adapted from the Alabama State flag, emphasizes the home base of the unit. Red is the color of valor and sacrifice. The two stars represent the Military Police Corps missions to uphold the law and keep order. The sword represents the military preparedness of the War Fighter.

The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 14 December 2006.
