Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a yellow shield 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, a yellow cougar face detailed blue above the inscription “CRISP COUNTY COUGARS” arcing to base in blue letters.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure a pall Or surmounted by a cougar face in trian aspect contourné Gold. Attached below the shield a Blue scroll turned Gold inscribed “CRISP COUNTY” in Gold letters, and surrounding Gold Cherokee Rose flowers.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Ultramarine blue and gold are the school colors. The cougar, the school mascot, reflects the cadets’ aggressive determination and the shield symbolizes school and community.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Ultramarine blue and gold are the school colors. The pall represents Cordele, the school’s location and Regional Center of Commerce. The three blue sections symbolize the three goals of the educational process: scholarship, sportsmanship and citizenship. The cougar is the school mascot and signifies the unit’s fierce pride and leadership. The Cherokee Roses are the state flower of Georgia.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved on 30 May 1997.
