Origin/meaning
The tower represents security and zeal for the municipality, eternal vigilance for municipal goods. The eight-pointed star, circled by eleven stars, represents thefirst political commands (Legislative and Executive), which is circled with the name Valparaiso de Goiós and the number 1995, which indicates the date of creation of the city.
In the center, the pigeon of represents peace and is the symbol of Christianity, surrounded by two blue flowers, representing the feminine beauty.
The railroad and a double highway represent the wealth of the municipality. A wavy blue bar represents the Santo Mario stream, which divides the municipality with neighboring Novo Gomo.
It is supported by two fruitful and flowering peach trees, a culinary symbol from Goiania and the municipality.
