NO 854 SQUADRON, FAA
History: First formed in 1944 at Naval Air Station Squantum, Massachusetts, USA as a Grumman Avenger equipped Torpedo-bomber-Reconnaissance Squadron for HMS Illustrious in the British Pacific Fleet until December 1945. Reforemd in 1982 from A Flight of No 849 Squadron.
