NO 622 SQUADRON, ROYAL AUXILIARY AIR FORCE
History : Formed in the Regular Royal Air Force at Mildenhall in August 1943. Where it also was disbanded 15 August 1945. Reformed as a Transport Squadron in the Royal Auxiliary Air Force
at RAF Blackbushe 15 December 1950. Disbanded as a cost-saving meassure 30 September 1953. In 1994 No 1359 Flight was formed at RAF Lyneham to provide Aircrew to Transport Units. The Flight was on
1 October 2012 rebadged as No 622 (Reserve Aircrew) Squadron.
