The oldest known seal of the village is known from 1494 and shows a divided shield of Pfalz-Bayern (lion and diamonds) and in the base a small letter K. When in 1506 the area became part of the Leiningen County, the seals showed the eagle of Leiningen above a wall. Seals with this composition were used until 1711, when a seal with the orb appeared. The orb was a symbol of the Counts of the Pfalz, and may thus originate from before 1506.
