The arm with the cross are taken from the arms of the St.Michaels abbey in Bamberg, which owned most of the area until 1802. The church is the local church. The tree is probably just added without a symbolic meaning. The picture and colours used at present are taken from the roll of arms of [[Otto Hupp|Hupp]] in the end of the last century.
