Official blazon

Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat de un brâu undat și o fascie undată îngustă, de argint. În câmp superior, pe fond roșu, se află un personaj nimbat ținând în mână o bisericuță, totul de aur. În vârful scutului, pe fond albastru, se află o barcă de argint în semiprofil dreapta. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 24, 2004.

The monk represents the three monasteries existing in the area since the 13th century.

The wavy bar represents the Danube river, through its position the locality being its entrance gate on the territory of the country.

The narrow barrulet means that the settlement is bordered by the river Nera, which is the state border.

The boat symbolizes the basic occupation of the inhabitants, fishing.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
