Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 13, 1963.
The division and the arms symbolise that the village is a coastal village with an important harbour. The anchor symbolises the harbour, but the upper part shows a double cross. This is the symbol of the tuberculosis association, and symbolises the local sanatorium.
