Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 5, 1941.

The arms show the local church tower, the typical landmark of the municipality. The mountains in the base symbolise the geographical position of the village near the Kerenzerberg-mountains. The blue field symbolises the Walensee-lake. In the 1920s the Kaffee Hag albums shows the local church as (unofficial) arms of the village.
