BUCHEGG
Canton : Solothurn
Additions: 2014 Aetigkofen, Aetingen, Bibern, Brügglen, Hessigkofen, Küttigkofen, Kyburg-Buchegg, Mühledorf, Tscheppach
Official blazon
In Rot gelber Pfahl, belegt mit drei weissen Rosen mit weissen Kelchblättern und gelben Butzen.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in January 2014.
The arms are based on the arms of the medieval Lords of Buchegg. Originally they used red roses, but since the early 16th century the roses are shown as silver. As it was impossible to combine the arms of the 9 former municipalities, the arms of the medieval Lords were chosen.
