Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 1, 1978.
The arms consists of a checquerd field, resembling a chess board, which is a canting element (Spiel=game). The ten fields represent the ten villages in the municipality.
The blue mountain is a canting element for the -Berg part of the name (Berg=mountain).
