HOREA

District/county (județ) : Alba

Stema Horea
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 4, 2013.

The arms show the bust of Horea, an emblematic figure of the moţi and the peasantry from Transylvania, born on the territory of the commune, whose name it bears.

The flames on the three hills represent the struggles for freedom that took place in the Apuseni Mountains.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
