The water melon refers to the traditional occupation of the inhabitants and at the same time to the traditional Melon Festival.

The head of cattle and the bundle of ears evoke the main occupations of the inhabitants, animal husbandry and agriculture.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
