DRĂGUȘ
District/county (județ) : Brașov
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 11, 2010.
The first half shows a type of cross and refers to a beautiful folk custom of the area, which takes place at the end of the harvest.
The ink well and feather pen signify the cultural life of the locality, where the memorialist Ion Codru Drăgușanu was born, participant in the Revolution of 1848, vice-captain of Făgăraș county and the maternal grandfather of the memorandist Ion Rațiu.
The silver mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
