SÂMBĂTA DE SUS
District/county (județ) : Brașov
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 11, 2010.
The ermine field and the trefoil cross refer to the Brancoveanu foundation from Sâmbăta de Sus.
The bar represents the geographical location of the commune at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains.
The two stars are taken from the old seals, from 1851, of the communes of Sâmbăta de Răsărit and Sâmbăta Apuseană.
The silver mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
