SUOLAHTI
Region : Keski-Suomi
Former province : 1997-2009 Länsi-Suomi, 1960-1997 Keski-Suomi
Incorporated into : 2007 Äänekoski
Official blazon
Sinisessä kentässä kolme lentävää hopeakurkea, keskenään järjestettyinä oikealle suunnatun kärjen tapaan.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 12, 1952.
The arms show three flying cranes. The cranes are very common in the bay just outside the town. The bay has given the town its name (suo=swamp, lahti=bay).
Since 2007 the arms are used by Äänekoski.
