It was redesignated on 30 December 1983, for Headquarters, State Area Command, North Dakota Army National Guard. | |||
Distinctive Unit Insignia: The colors of gold and green and the Indian arrowhead forming the shield and the charges on it are taken from the North Dakota coat of arms.
