Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 2002.

The arms show rider on a running horse holding a spear in his right and a circular shield ensigned with alka in his left and in the chief a golden crown. The rider is an alkar in traditional garment. An alkar is a participant in a local riding game, the alka is a double concentric ring that is to be pierced with the spear by a rider.
