Origin/meaning
The arms above were used while being abbot of the two abbeys at the same time. The quartered shield shows : I : the Cistercian Order; II Gotteszell; III Aldersbach and IV his personal arms.
After 1658 he used, like nearly all other abbots of Aldersbach three shields, with his personal arms under the shields of Aldersbach and the Cistercians.
