PAUL MICHAEL BOYLE

Born: May 28, 1926
Deceased: January 10, 2008

Apostolic Vicar of Mandeville, 1991-1997; Titular Bishop of Canapium
Bishop of Mandeville, 1997-2004

Arms (crest) of Paul Michael Boyle
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The personal arms are impaled with the arms of the diocese.

The gold and blue are the colours of Pope John Paul II who established the Apostolic Vicariate and named Bishop Boyle as 'Apostolic Vicar of Mandeville. The Passionist "Sign" recalls that the bishop is a member of the Congregation of the Passion. The lower section contains three shamrocks, alluding to the bishop's Irish ancestry.
