BIKANER SADUL LIGHT INFANTRY, BIKANER
History: raised in 1839. It served in the !st and 2nd Sikh Wars and in the Indian Mutiny of 1857. In the World War I it served in Egypt and the Canal Zone. Reorganised in 1923 under the Indian State Forces Scheme. During World War II it served in Persia and Iraq, After Indian Independence, it entered the Jammu and Kashmir State in 1951 and guarded the Cease Fire Line.
