Origin/meaning
Historically the current municipality of Arnaville was divided into three lordships/estates:
- The Lordship of Saint Pierre belonged to the Duke of Lorraine, whih is symbolised by the golden shield, red bend and alerions.
- The Lordship of Saint Gorgon belonged to the abbot of Gorze and is symbolised by the image of Saint Gorgon.
- The Lordship of Saint Vanne belonged to the Bishop of Verdun and is symbolised by the crosier and the sword.
