BREȚCU
District/county (județ): Covasna
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 9, 2006.
The green in the head signifies the forest wealth of the locality. The cannon refers to the revolutionary Pasoptist Gabor Aron, a cannon maker, born in this locality.
The arm holding the letter reminds that this locality was the border point, which also provided the postal service between Transylvania and Moldova.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
