RNZAF WIGRAM

A torch of learning on an escallop.
Motto:In deo et in alis salus = Safety is in God and our wings.
Origin/meaning
The Escallop is taken from the arms of Lord Wigram. The Torch symbolises the Teaching and Learning side of the functions of the Base. The badge was approved from RNZAF Station Wigram in June 1953. It was approved for the Base in July 1979.
