GIDEÅ
Province (Landskap): Ångermanland
County (Län): Västernorrlands län
Incorporated into: 1971 Örnsköldsvik
Swedish | I fält av silver en sig stegrande röd häst.
. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1965 but were never officially granted, as already in 1965 there were indications that the municipality would merge with Örnsköldsvik.
The horse refers to the agricultural character of the village. The arms were newly designed in 1965 as there are no old seals or arms known.
