Azure symbolizes the serenity that demonstrates the rest offered by the stay at the Residence. The hill with vertical walls ("mallo" in Aragonese) is the talking weapon of the Residence's name, and its enamel is silver for the same reason. The keys, a universal symbol of welcome and protection, have their blades facing outward in a demonstration of opening and reception, with gold and silver symbolizing welcome at all times without distinction. The Cross of Santiago is a reference to the Camino de Santiago, as a starting point in Jaca. The Coat of Arms was approved on 13 July 2009.

Origin/meaning
