HALL BEI ADMONT
State : Steiermark
District : Liezen
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 28, 1983.
The name of the municipality points directly to salt production. And indeed, until about 1542, salt was produced here. Thereafter, the Benedictine monastery of Admont had to abandon its saline by order of the Duke of Styria (salt was and still is a monopoly of the state). In token of its history, the village bears in its arms three Salzkufen (buckets for the transport of brine and salt).
