Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The logo is not a true coat of arms and was adopted in August 2008.

The logo shows as a main element a pile of stones, a historical symbol for marking the roads. The base shows a sheet of ice and the waters beneath it. The golden disc is the sun rising in the east. This huge municipality spans the East and West of Greenland.
