MONTORNÈS DEL VALLÈS
Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
Canting arms: they show a "mont" (Catalan for "mount") with the arms of Barcelona (the cross of St. George and the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon, four red pales on gold), because the castle of Montornès (shown here on the mount) was sold in 1390 to the city of Barcelona, and became a "street of Barcelona" (see [[Ametlla del Vallès[[).
