BARKÅKRA
Province (Landskap): Skåne
County (Län): Skåne län (until 1997 Kristianstads län
Incorporated into : 1971 Ängelholm
Official blazon
Sköld vågskurestyckad av rött och guld, vari ett rött ankare, upptill bildande ett patriarkalkors med spetsiga ändar.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 13, 1963.
The division and the arms symbolise that the village is a coastal village with an important harbour. The anchor symbolises the harbour, but the upper part shows a double cross. This is the symbol of the tuberculosis association, and symbolises the local sanatorium.
