Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 16, 1781 and again on September 6, 1999.
The upper part of the shield shows the arms of Vladimir province. The lower part shows a lock and two anvils, symbolising the locksmiths in the town.
The arms can be used with or without the upper half.
