PANGODY (Пангоды)

Federal subject : Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug
Rayon : Nadymsky Rayon

Arms of Pangody

Official blazon

В лазоревом поле на зеленом холме - серебряный сидящий медведь, обращенный прямо и держащий на воздетой правой передней лапе золотое пламя.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 27, 2008.

The arms show a polar bear holding a flame. This refers to the large gas fields near the village, the Bear gas field. The arms thus show a canting polar bear holding a flame for the gas. The bear and the silver colour refer to the fact that the village is in the far North of Russia.
