SVEDALA
Province (Landskap): Skåne
County (Län): Skåne län (until 1997 Malmöhus län
Additions : 1974 Anderslöv (partly, 1952 Börringe, Grönby, Gärdslöv, Önnarp), Månstorp (partly, 1952 Arrie, Mellan-Grevie, Södra Åkarp, Törringe, Västra Ingelstad, Västra Kärrstorp, Östra Grevie); 1977 Bara (1952 Bjärshög, Hyby, Skabersjö)
Official blason
I rött fält tre naverlönnblad av guld, ordnade två över ett.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1987.
The arms are a combination of the leaf taken from the old Svedala arms and the colours of the arms of Bara. The three leaves are placed in the same composition as the crowns in the Swedish national arms.
The city of Svedala used previously the arms shown below:
Official blason
I fält av guld ett blått naverlönnblad, omgivet av en röd kuggkrans.
These arms were officially granted in February 19, 1960.
The arms combine the leaf for nature and agriculture, with a cogwheel for industry.
