District : Innsbruck-Land

Arms of Rum (Tirol)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 3, 1972.

The arms symbolise the river Mur, running through the town. There have always been floods caused by the river, and dams are used to keep the river in its bed. These concrete dams are shown in the arms. The blue shield symbolises the river.
