Noraskog kommunvapen

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 27, 1955.

The upper part shows four pine trees, a canting element for the -skog (forest) part of the name. The number refers to the 4 parishes that merged in 1952.

The lower half is taken from the seal of the Noraskog mining community, known from 1520, after which the municipality was named.
