Escudo de Cunit

Official blazon

Escut caironat partit: 1r. d'atzur, una palmera d'or; 2n. d'or, 4 pals de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 7, 1987.

The arms show a palm-tree, the symbol of St. Christopher, the local patron saint, and the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four red pales on gold), because the village was under the royal jurisdiction.
