ENNIS

County : Clare

Arms (crest) of Ennis

Official blazon

Argent three barques sails furled flags flying all proper.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 1, 1986.

Ennis Urban District council uses arms from the old seal of the Borough of Ennis, which was abolished in 1840. This simply shows three ships on a white shield.
