Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 30, 1967.
The three mountains in the base refer to the three mountain clusters in the municipality; the Spitzmauer, Priel-Stock and Warscheneck mountains. The crossed crescent is taken from the arms of the Spital am Pyhrn Abbey, which possessed a large part of the municipality for many centuries.
