Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 15, 1965. The brodure alludes to the Shieldshape in the Seal of Nora Parish, from the end of the 16th Century. The Insects are also from the Parish Seal. The Magpie is from the arms of the Skog Parish. The arms was designed by the City Architct Hans Schlyter, Sundsvall.
