===Origin/meaning===
The mullet is a symbol of man and counter changed in colour to reflect all mankind irrespective of colour, race,  ethnicity or creed. The crest was adopted by vote by all members as the lowest value common piece in chess but with the ability to aspire to be much more. Emblazonment by Lee Lumbley.
